Why Lambda Chi Alpha?

Lambda Chi brothers are rarely bored. Whether we are doing a campus wide Food Drive for the Greater Philadelphia Food Bank, playing intramural soccer, studying for exams or just hanging out, you can bet we'll be doing it together. Our Brothers are involved in all kinds of other activities all over campus. We encourage each other to seek outside interests in the belief that every man should make of himself a man. Lambda Chi Alpha is the 3rd largest national fraternity with over 200 chapters in the continental US, Alaska, and Canada. Our chapter is very involved with our international organization and send members to conferences every summer to attend workshops, get leadership training and meet other Lambda Chis from accross North America.

Pledging? Associate Membership

In 1972 Lambda Chi Alpha replaced pledgeship with Associate Membership. Associate Members have the same rights as initiated brothers, and also the same responsibilities. This beats the archaic system of "pledgeship" by fostering both a tightening of the brotherhood as a whole and increasing respect for the individuality of its members. We don't haze. Associate Members are allowed and encouraged get involved with everything from day one, even run for office. In order to make this work, we check a little harder at the door, making certain that we pick Associate Members who meet all of our high standards and membership criteria.
